Pasajes de la Biblia sobre la justicia social

"Do not deprive the alien or the fatherless of justice, or take the cloak of the widow as a pledge." Deuteronomy 24:17

"The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble." Psalm 9:9

"But the needy will not always be forgotten, nor the hope of the afflicted ever perish." Psalm 9:18

" Because of the oppression of the weak and the groaning of the needy, I will now arise, says the LORD, I will protect them from those who malign them. " Psalm 12:5

En el Nuevo Testamento vemos que las únicas dos mujeres que aparecen en la genealogía de Cristo fueron una extranjera y una prostituta. Igualmente vemos la ternura del Señor Jesús en su trato hacia la prostituta que le lavó los pies y que le ungió.

Creemos firmemente en el amor de Dios por mujeres así. Estamos persuadidos de su poder para transformar estas vidas. Oseas es para nosotros un gran estímulo. Es nuestra oración que este pasaje sea real en la vida de estas mujeres:

“Yo sanaré su apostasía,
los amaré generosamente, pues mi ira se ha apartado de ellos. Seré como rocío para Israel;
florecerá como lirio, y extenderá sus raíces como los cedros del Líbano. Brotarán sus renuevos,
y será su esplendor como el del olivo y su fragancia como la de los cedros del Líbano.” Oseas 14: 4-6
