dear sisters, i just came home a bit ago after our visit to the girls. and i want to ask for prayer for Jaime. if what she's telling is true, then her partner has been beating her real badly. she showed me bruises on her leg and arms and face that seem to show that he is abusing her physically. she said some of his friends keep telling him that she is cheating on him with a particular man. she insists it isn't so; she was very sad today. she's afraid of what he could do to her. he's stopped working, living off of what she makes. he's been betting on baseball, so money she gets, money he tries to get away with.

after we listened to her and truly tried to be sensitive to her very desperate situation, we sought to explain what a much more desperate situation she has before the Lord. sisters, i wept with her as i talked to her. i was overcome with grief and helplessness as i realized just how much has Satan tried to destroy her life. i am so tired right now. please forgive me for not writing in more detail. but please pray for Jaime. that she wouldn't be distracted by her huge problems from the biggest of them all: God's wrath against her every hour of her life. please pray she would be saved! please pray she would be delivered from all the chains that keep her trapped. please pray for her three children, none of which presently live with her. 

even right now my soul aches for this girl's life. she's only 20. she's been prostituting herself for a long time (she has a 7 year old daughter). so poor Jaime's been a mom since she was 12. each of her children has a different dad. she's been verbally, physicallly and sexually abused. what is her soul like? probably hurting SO much, probably numb as well.... it really breaks my heart. 

but God's able and powerful to save her!
